BTD4 Tips Forum

Don't forget to change your Weapon Target Priority to "Strong". In the beginning, that's how you want to set your cannons, darts, and boomerang throwers. Later, you'll keep the earlier weapons at Strong, and change the lower, or later ones to "First" to protect bloons from leaking.

How To Get Started with Bloons Tower Defense 4

Start off with a Boomerang Thrower, and keep using that, with glue blobs, for as many rounds as you can, up to 10 or so, until you can purchase a Banana Farm. To go far, the main thing is to purchase a farm, then upgrade it, then get a second farm, upgrade it, then get the second upgrade (costs 1200 on easy), and then you have some income to pay for more weapons.

I try to upgrade my weapons and pay for banana farms on an approximately equal basis. If you get 1000 points, upgrade your cannon a level or two, and upgrade a farm, for example.

I always get excited when I get enough weapons, cash, and farms, that I can buy my first Super Monkey. They then make the rounds go faster, and really help you succeed.

Wizards are definitely good to line around the edge of the path.
